Here we are with the 2nd Super Throwdown. The rules are still the same as before ( which can be found in the first throwdown post) so let's get this started.
Battle 1: Daredevil vs Nightwing
This is a battle that I don't hear much about but I think it would be a hell of a fight. Daredevil is one of the most skilled martial artists in The Marvel Universe, having trained with master Stick, and his radar sense gives him an almost unfair edge in battle (click for list of abilties). Nightwing is no slouch, being a skilled gymnast and trained by Batman himself ( who is a pretty boss ass fighter in his own right) makes him someone you def don't wanna run into in a dark alley. In terms of hand to hand I'd have to give the edge to Daredevil but Nightwing has a ton of toys for Matt to play with, not to mention his suit provides him with more protection than Matt's skintights. Nightwing would be unaware of Matt's blindness so he might try to use smoke bombs and other tactics to disorient him, which gives Matt the edge he needs, but Nightwing would most likely figure out that Matt is indeed blind and then based off his fighting probably deduce that her has some sort of ability that allows sense his opponents movements and location. From there on I'm sure he could come up with a few strategies to test the limits of Daredevil's senses; but this is a assuming that he even gets the chance to come up with all of these ideas. The deciding factor here comes down to the armor, yes Daredevil is an accomplished fighter but he has almost zero protection from Nightwing's attacks, meanwhile Nightwing can absorb a great deal of damage from Daredevil thanks to him being armored up. The increase in defense means that Nightwing will be able to outlast DD in a brawl if it comes to that so I'm giving the win to Nightwing 70/100
Battle 2: Cassandra Cain vs Elektra
A battle of master level assassins, Elektra is highly skilled fighter and it one of the more dangerous non powered humans in the Marvel Universe. Cassandra Cain (aka Batgirl aka Black Bat) is a monster, she's the daughter of Lady Shiva ( possibly the best hand to hand fighter in the DCU) and has been trained by the likes of Batman, Shiva, Bronze Tiger, and has the ability to read movements. As much as I have respect for Elektra, this is one battle where she's gonna need to be on her A game because one wrong move and it will be the end of her. The body reading ability of Cass is outright daunting but not insurmountable and I think Elektra's training can provide her with some breathing room but being trained by Lady Shiva (and also defeating her) means Cass has experience fighting someone who can also read body movements...meaning she should have no problem anticipating all over Elektra's attacks. Sure, her ninja ability might be able to confuse her and in that confusion she could deal a decisive blow, but Cass also has her utility belt and could also distract Elektra long enough to land a finishing blow. I'm scoring this 80/100 Cassandra Cain.
I've decided to just have 2 battles up, see if that yields a better response or not. Feel free to tell me how wrong I am for picking my winners.
